2IDEA, (Innovation, Investment and Fair Development) has been created on June 2005.

Company’s activities are divided in three main fields:

• Quality systems consulting and suppliers audits
• Consulting for the promotion of innovation, investment, quality and fair development in Africa-Caribbean-Pacific countries
• Research and development on new processes using renewable energies, in particular solar energy to produce cold and/or ice, and promotion of traditionnal tubers.

Since the creation of the company, we are interested in research and development of new processes using renewable energies, in particular solar energy, to produce cold or ice for food industry, home and medical  markets.

Since 2006, we have developed a process to produce cold using a solid-gas thermochemical reaction and thermal solar energy. Our innovation, selected as one of the 100 finalists among over 2500 candidates for the World Bank’s innovation competition "Development Marketplace 2006" obtained a financing on behalf of OSEO ANVAR. We have granted an exclusive world licence to COLDWAY, an European company specialized in thermochemical systems (www.coldway.fr). 

Since 2008, 2IDEA develops and manufactures in its workshop at Toulouse, FREECOLD branding appliances: 100% solar refrigerators, freezers, aircoolers and air-conditioners.

Our fridges and freezers require neither battery nor regulator. A patented system ensures a complete autonomy over 3 to 5 no-sunny days.

These appliances have powerful and original advantages :

• an absence of battery
• an energy flexibility: photovoltaic, wind, battery, power grid
• a neutral energy balance
